Battles intensified in Al-Baydha and Al-Dhalea

The armed forces continued to destroy the hideouts of the Iranian-backed Houthi militia on various fronts. The militia suffered heavy losses in personnel and equipment. The armed forces advanced, backed by the tribes, in Qaniyah front in Al-Baydha governorate. Simultaneously, the coalition aircraft launched intense air strikes targeting militia sites and reinforcements on this front.

In Al-Dhalea governorate, south of the country, a number of militia members were killed and wounded by armed forces fire, in Maris area, north of the governorate. The army forces targeted members of the Houthi militias as they tried to infiltrate into the village of Solan and al-Zila region, north of Merais region. As a result the infiltration attempt failed and the militias were forced to flee, after a number of their members were killed and wounded.

For its part, the army artillery destroyed the militia’s sites and reinforcements in Ya`is area, north of Maris, which led to losses to the militias.

In Naham front, east of Sanaa governorate, the army forces, backed by the tribes, thwarted an attempt by the Houthi militia to infiltrate the army locations in the areas of Al Lesan and Al Gowa. The army artillery also bombed locations and concentrations of the rebel militia, on the same front.

Destruction of 4 booby-trapped planes fired by militias

Four coalition drones (booby-trapped) fired by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia towards Saudi Arabia were intercepted and destroyed by the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen.

The spokesman for the coalition forces, Colonel Turki al-Maliki, said that the coalition forces were able to intercept and destroy the four booby-trapped planes, which were launched by the Houthi militia towards the Kingdom, and that three of which were intercepted and destroyed in the Yemeni airspace.

Subversive elements caught in Marib

The army and security forces caught subversive elements outside Marib Al-Wadi directorate, which were directly linked to the implementation of terrorist operations.

A statement issued by the local authorities said, “The subversive elements were working by all means to destabilize security and stability and disturb the public tranquility in Marib governorate in a way that serves the objectives of the coup militias and the rebellion.”

It praised the role of the tribes and their national stances in supporting the army and security in their battle against the Houthi militia and the great sacrifices they make in order to defend the revolution, the republic and the national constants.

Prime Minister: International negligence encourages the Houthi militia

Prime Minister Dr. Maen Abdulmalik affirmed that the international negligence and failure to take a clear and deterrent stance with regards to the escalation of the Houthi coup militia and its rejection of all opportunities for a political solution and for alleviating the suffering of the citizens encourage it to continue further.

He said that turning a blind eye by the UN envoy to the Houthi plundering of the revenues of the central bank in Al Hudaydah in violation of the agreements he sponsored in this regard is unacceptable. Abdulmalik praised the British role that supports the legitimacy and the Yemeni people, and its active moves towards achieving peace.

Yemen welcomes the report of the United Nations Secretary-General

The Yemeni government welcomed the report of the United Nations Secretary-General on Iran on “Implementation of Security Council Resolution 2231 (2015)” issued on June 11, 2020 which was discussed during the open Security Council session on June 30, 2020 under the item “Non-proliferation”.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the need to stop all violations committed by the Iranian regime.

The Ministry referred to what was confirmed by the report of the Secretary-General on Iran’s continued involvement in supplying weapons and ballistic missiles to the Houthi coup militia in Yemen, which it uses to kill Yemenis. The report also confirmed the responsibility of the Iranian regime in the terrorist attacks that targeted oil refineries in Abqaiq and Khurais in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2019, and the threat to international peace and security.

Humanitarianly

Militias fabricates the oil derivatives crisis

Information Minister Muammar Al-Iryani warned of the repercussions of the Houthi militia’s   fabrication of the oil derivative crisis, and how it will affect the remaining aspects of life in its areas of control.

The minister said, “A number of recently circulated video clips documented hundreds of locomotives loaded with oil derivatives held in one of the security points of the Houthi militia, while millions of citizens in the hijacked capital Sana’a and militia control areas suffer from the lack of oil derivatives which raise the price of 20 liters of petroleum on the black market to 25,000 riyals”.

Al-Iryani called on the international community and the United Nations to stop these Houthi practices that fall within the policies of impoverishment and starvation with the aim of subjugating civilians in the capital, Sana’a, and its areas of control, and to pressure the militia to allow the flow of food supplies and oil derivatives. 

Signing an emergency response agreement to combat dengue fever

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center signed today a joint agreement with a civil society organization to implement the emergency response project to combat dengue fever for a period of 5 months, in the directorates of Sira, Khor Maksar, Al-Mualla, Tawahi, Al Mansoura, Sheikh Othman, Dar Saad, and Al-Brega in Aden governorate, benefiting 861,719 individuals.

The militias close Radio Yemen Music

The Houthi coup militias have closed the headquarters of the local Yemen Music Radio and stopped broadcasting its programs.

The Houthi Minister of Information, Daifallah Al-Shami, issued an arbitrary decision to lay off 25 employees working for Radio Yemen Music, close all radio stations in the cities of Sanaa, the governorates of Ibb and Dhamar, without warning and without justification.
